Rudy Giuliani spends $30K in just one week following last bankruptcy hearing

Cash-Strapped Giuliani Spends $30,000 Since Bankruptcy Case Dismissal

Cash-strapped former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani has found himself in hot water once again, this time for spending a whopping $30,000 in just one week following the dismissal of his bankruptcy case. The judge’s decision to throw out Giuliani’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy case last Friday has led to a heated legal battle over how the former mayor will pay off his debts.

During a Wednesday afternoon hearing, lawyers for Giuliani and his bankruptcy creditors were scrambling to determine how Giuliani would cover the administrative fees that have accumulated throughout the case. The shocking revelation that Giuliani had already spent half of the $60,000 in his bank account since the last hearing on July 10 left many jaws dropping in the courtroom.

According to Rachel Strickland, lawyer for the defamed election workers, Giuliani’s spending spree included a $14,000 check for New York condo expenses and a $25,000 wire transfer for the Florida condo association. Additionally, there were various charges to marketing firms, Amazon, and Apple, though the exact amount spent on these expenses remains unclear.

The lack of transparency surrounding Giuliani’s finances has been a recurring issue in the bankruptcy case, with the judge expressing frustration over the former mayor’s failure to meet reporting obligations and provide financial transparency. The judge even raised concerns about Giuliani’s potential conflicts of interest and self-dealing.

As the legal battle continues, Giuliani’s lawyers have been urged to come up with a plan for how the former mayor will address his debts and financial obligations. With Giuliani’s Upper East Side condo still on the market and facing potential price reductions, the situation remains uncertain for the cash-strapped former mayor.

Despite the ongoing legal drama, one thing is clear: Giuliani’s financial woes are far from over, and the battle over his bankruptcy case is far from resolved.
