NeNe Leakes’ Creditor Requests $25k to Be Taken From Bank Account

NeNe Leakes Faces Seizure of Funds After Creditor Makes Moves in Court

NeNe Leakes, former star of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, is facing potential seizure of funds from her bank account after a creditor made significant moves in court. According to exclusive information obtained by In Touch, NeNe’s former landlord, MPG-Sugarloaf, has located assets in a bank account owned by the reality star.

The landlord, who was awarded $25,631 after NeNe failed to respond to a lawsuit over unpaid rent, instructed Truist Bank to hold all money and assets belonging to NeNe, except for exempt property. Truist Bank confirmed that the full amount requested by the landlord is in an account owned by NeNe.

The landlord is seeking approval from the court to seize the money and transfer it to pay off the debt owed. The initial lawsuit stemmed from a lease signed in 2017 for a commercial property where NeNe opened her now-closed Swagg Boutique. The landlord claimed NeNe failed to pay $22,000 in rent, plus interest.

NeNe denied responsibility for the debt in a social media post, stating that her late husband, Gregg Leakes, had signed the lease, not her. Gregg passed away in 2021 after battling cancer.

In addition to her legal troubles, NeNe has faced personal challenges, including her son Bryson Bryant’s arrest for felony possession of fentanyl in 2023. Bryson reached a plea deal with prosecutors, avoiding jail time but receiving probation and fines.

NeNe’s financial and personal struggles have made headlines, showcasing the difficulties she has faced in recent years. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
